Card stock: Pear Pizzazz, Basic Grey, Whisper White
Ink: Lost Lagoon

Very late, Borderline Buddies

I am so sorry that I didn't get this post up earlier today. Those of you know where my home town is, Prince George BC Canada (northern BC). We are experincing a very long heat wave up here. By my calculations we have not had rain in over  a month here. We also seem to be the bowl area to where the smoke from the wild fires seems to just sit over us for days.

Anyways enough of the excuses.

This week I choose the challenge. The challenge was to continue posting samples that we have created with the Big Shot as it is the promotion of the month. To check out what Susan has created please go to her blog found here at:   http://susan-stampinsue.blogspot.ca/

My sample which will be a card swap. It was cased I do aplogize I didn't keep my cheat note that said who created this.

I actually had fun making this card. You know some cards you finish making it (especially swap cards) and you wonder "why did I choose this?"

Stamp set: Be the Star, Good Greetings (Holiday mini Hostess set)
Ink: Mossy Meadow, Cherry Cobbler.
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow
Extras: Snail, Glue dots, Dimensionals, Tea doily, Natural twine, Mossy Meadow ribbon, 1 1/4 inch striped Grosgrain ribbon, sticky strip, Big Shot, Star Framelits, Stylish Stripe embossing folder

My hostesses

So I run a monthly hostess club, where each member makes a minimum order of $50 before shipping/taxes each month. Each month one of the ladies is the "hostess" the hostess receives a minimum of $35 in FREE PRODUCT of her choice.

Each month I create (CASE) something as a little thank you for their order. Last month's order just arrived here today and my wonderful ladies will be receiving this cute little treat.

I posted these on here earlier, these ones though I made up today in a mass hurry. My "to do list" has grown very large and I knew their order was arriving today so they had to get done.

After I had finished dying the ribbon, my daughter (Miss N) and I met up with some friends for dinner. She decided to laugh at me because my hands were that color. I wont add the supply list  here as it is already posted.

Thanks for lookin' and have a Stampin' day!

Hey fellow crafters, I am planning a crafting retreat with my downline Rosalyn. Just curious as to which month would be better for you? October or November. This event will be held locally here in Prince George at a local hotel. We will also be securing a few rooms for those that would like to not have to drive home late at night.

You can email me at kerr_leanna@yahoo.ca or call me at 250 649 0902 if you are interested in attending and being placed on my contact list when we have the event planned.

Wednesday and its Borderline Buddies time!

Hey so I'm now back from vacation. Spent ten days with my hunny and my daughter. We travelled from Prince George BC to Nanaimo BC. We made a stop in Surrey to visit with my brother Brad, my Auntie and Uncle, and my girlfriend Andi who had some very important news to share. She is pregnant! We (ok I) did some shopping at my old haunts. Oh ya this crafter is born/raised down there in the Surrey area. Man oh man has it changed since the last time I had been there! Kinda sad, to see the farmland being turned into houses. Once we got on the boat (as my daughter was calling it) we made our base in Nanaimo. The reason why we were there is because my cousin Shannon McGarrigle was getting married. We spent a day down in Victoria as well to visit with some of my husbands friends/family. I got to spend a day at the ocean with my bff from highschool Jackie and her muchkins, though they are not munchkins anymore : ( this is what happens when you yourself start having children later in life. Oh well, moving on.

So this weeks challenge was from Susan. Her Challenge is: Anything Christmas. So since I have not received my FREE Stamps!! yes I earned 2 FREE stamp sets for working on challenges from Stampin' Up! They actually should be here tomorrow. Ask me how you too can earn FREE Stamps!

Anyways I used this stamp set that I purchased last winter, and even though it was discontinued, Stampin' Up! brought it back for this years Holiday catalog. Don't have a Holiday catalog yet? Ya me neither. I will be getting one here shortly for my self, if you would like me to mail one to you or I can drop one off to you later in August/September.

This card I cased from Kim Ryden. It is clean and simple, very easy to make oh all of your Christmas cards in a few short hours.

Items used:

Stamp set: Endless Wishes
Cardstock: Whisper White
Ink: Coastal Cabana, Smokey Slate, Night of Navy
Extras: Rhinestones.

Thanks for lookin' and have a Stampin' Day!

Borderline buddies

Yep you guessed that its Wednesday again.
This week's challenge is mine. My challenge was gift giving. So anything like bags/tags/boxes/note cards/gift card holders. I needed to make a cute gift card holder for my girlfriend Andrea who moved from Prince George and is now living in Mission BC. I just got to see her and she is five months PREGNANT!! I got her a gift card to spend on her new little bean. She isn't sure yet of the sex of her new baby but should very soon. Happy shopping Andi!

I had this mostly made before we left, so all I needed to do was to add some stamping and embellishments to it. I didn't write down all the product that I did use as I am still on holidays while I make this post. A few of the times were: Envelope punch board, paper trimmer, snail, sticky strip, and dimensionals.

Thanks for lookin' and have a stampin' day!

Its Wednesday! Borderline buddies time

Happy Wednesday. I am going to get this posted before Susan can tell me I forgot : ) I am on my holidays right now. My view from the table I'm sitting at includes the ocean, and some mountains. I am on the Queen Of Alberni BC ferry from the lower mainland to Vancouver Island BC. We are spending time in both the Victoria and Nanaimo areas, as well as travelling up to see my other very good bff Jackie and her family in Port Alberni. Moving on to BORDERLINE BUDDIES.

This week's challenge was from Susan. Her challenge was to use some of our wonderful Designer Series Paper, that is on sale this month, purchase three (3) packages and get one (1) FREE. To see what Susan has created head on over to her blog at: http://susan-stampinsue.blogspot.ca/

As I'm on vacation I am sorry I didn't write down the items that I did use, however I do know that I used the new Scallop top tag punch, fringe scissors, natural fiber, snail, sticky strip, Smokey slate card stock, Crushed currey card stock

Thanks for lookin' and have a Stampin' day!

Borderline Buddies

Where does the week go? It is already wednesday, and you know what that means..... Its Borderline Buddies time!!

This weeks challenge was mine. I challenged Susan to do a technique. The technique was Masking or Reverse Masking. My creation was cased from Patty Bennett's blog where she used the reverse masking technique. This card was really simple (did use the idea for a swap so it did take me a while to make eight of them) I used one of my framelits cutouts to use for the mask. Just a hint you want the mask cut out to be big enough so that you do not get ink on the "white areas". Check out Susan's blog at:

Items Used:

Stamp sets(s): Blooming with Kindess, A Dozen Thoughts
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White
DSP: Regals Stack
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight

Big shot, Framelits (for mask)

June Paper Pumpkin

Hi ladies, oddly enough its Sunday evening and Im actually working on my blog. I have signed up to particpate in Stampin' Up! Paper Pumpkin boot camp. Have I mentioned to you about PP? It's a monthly subscription. Each month your credit card will be charged $24.95 (about the 10th of the month), then on or about the 15th of each month you will receive  a box to your doorstep. Kinda looks like this:

Stampin' Up! sends these out via FedEx.  My July box should be here tomorrow June 16/14.
This is how the box looks like when you open it up.
Everything is supplied that you will need (you may need some sort of adhesive and either scissors or a paper trimmer) I sometimes even have extra bits left over once I am finished. Each months box contains a stamp set, and ink spot, and all the paper, envelopes, embellishments, dimensionals that you will need to complete the project sent out.
This is how this months box looked once I opened up the kit. I always forget to read the instructions for making the project.  This time I had to lift up some of the diecut stickers to put the bakers twine on the card.

This is my finished projects, this kit was to celebrate Father's day. However the stamps included said Happy Birthday, Happy Father's Day, then there was 3 teeny tiny stamps, one said Bro, Dad, Son.

This is what I am left with after I have completed my project. Now because I am a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, I am able to order "refills" of most of the kits. (this is something new to Stampin' Up!) Stampin' Up! has just started this the last few months. Refills vary in price from $7.95-$9.95. All that is included is the paper and embellishments for the project.

Ok so you must be wondering "What does this boot camp mean to me?" Well it means that I have been challenged to sign up between 3-7 people to join the Paper Pumpkin subscription.  You can go to my personal link https://mypaperpumpkin.com?demoid=2057093

We have 2 options for subscriptions:

First is the month to month. If you choose this option you can cancel or pause your subscription at any time. Each month your Credit Card will be charged on the 10th of the month and on the 15th your Paper Pumpkin kit will arrive at your doorstep.

Second is the pre-paid subscription. You can pre-pay for 1, 3 6, or 12 month subscriptions in advance. There is a $1 discount if you prepay for the six month subcription, and a $2 discount if you choose the 12 month subscription.

So how does this work? Once you have made the decision to receive a Paper Pumpkin kit, you will go to the link I provided above. Another option to this is program is that Paper pumpkin can be purchased using a hostess code or as part of your hostess benifits if you host your own workshop. The pre paid option can be used for a gift.

I love seeing my box(s) arrive on my doorstep each month and I know you will too. I have created a cute organizer for your Paper pumpkin stamps, ink spot and any extras you want to keep for next time. If you want to own one of these I am giving them as gifts to the next seven (7) people who sign up for a subscription.

So sorry for the long post, thanks for lookin' and have a Stampin' Day!

Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities Borderline Buddies

Ok its hump day.... which also means its BORDERLINE BUDDIES day!! So here I am crafting at the witching hours as I had so many other things to get off my to do list today, Susan's challenge ended up at the end of my day. Todays challenge was from Susan. Her challenge to me was to use the new BLENDABLITIES MARKERS (side note these items are brand new, and because Susan and I are demonstrators were able to order these in our pre-order) Our devoted customers will need to wait a little while longer to order these items. Last I heard it would be late June/July for customer orders. Anyways  if you want to go and check out what Susan has made check out her blog at:

So I did not attend the catalog premier in late April, however this card I cased it from that event. The original designer of this card was the one and only Carrie Cudney from the Stampin' Up! office. I have seen some of these cards made where people have colored two and three flowers, and cut them out, and layered them on top of the base. Looks really pretty. This card is a quick and simple card.

Items used:

Stamp set: Blended Bloom, Really Good Greetings
Ink: Blendability Markers, Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight
Ink pad: Rich Razzleberry, Black Memento
Cardstock: Whisper White

Thanks for lookin' and have a Stampin' day!

Borderling Buddies!!

Hi and good morning. I'm writing today from my laptop, in my makeshift craft room in my dining room. Ok now your asking yourself, why is Leanna stampin' in her dining room now? I was scheduled to attend a trade show on May 3-4 in Quesnel BC. Anyways, I drove all the way there, and had unloaded my two folding tables. I get to my booth space, and start to build my tables. Well I went to flip the first table upright and I felt a "pop" in my right knee. This knee has been giving me some grief the past month and this was the kicker. My hubby and daughter had to drive the hour and a bit down to Quesnel to come and get me. I have been hobbling along on crutches now ever since. I have been finding my stairs are difficult for me to walk down right now so for the time being I have sat my laptop up on my table and have been creating here ever since.

This weeks challenge was mine. I choose a technique. I asked Susan if she had any babywipes at home. : ) So this weeks challenge was the Baby Wipe Technique. Here is my card that I made. I made it with the butterflies as I have a swap that requires butterflies, and I am short on cards for my many secret sisters.

There is a great tutorial at www.splitcoaststampsers.com for the baby wipe technique. It is very easy. I was doing this in front of my mom the other day and she was amazed that something as simple as a baby wipe could be used as an ink pad. I think I used to many colors that were "like" colors. If you want to go to Susan's blog at   http://susan-stampinsue.blogspot.ca/

Items used:

Stamp sets: Papillon Potpourri and Happy Day (Happy Day is on the retirement list)
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Rich Razzleberry
Ink: reinkers, Rich Razzleberry, Rose Red, Pink Piroutte
Extras: Elegant Butterful punch, 1/2 pearls, dimensionals, Rich Razzleberry stitched grosgrain ribbon (retiring)

Thanks for lookin and have a Stampin' day!

Borderling Buddies

Hi and welcome. Its been a few weeks since I have blogged. I ended up getting some nasty bug, which kept me down for just over a week~week before Easter of course. I still have a couple of effects of that cold/virus. A nasty cough and my ears are plugged. Then to top it off my knee has been giving me problems too. I guess I really should go to the doctor to see whats going on with that.

Anyways, its WEDNESDAY, and Borderling Buddies has returned. My BFF Susan was off for a few weeks, she ended up having surgery at the end of March. I told her I would come and visit her, however after I checked out the airfare to her town, decided that it might need to wait till we meet up at Convention as the price was more than what I pay to go to Convention in Utah.

So this weeks challenge was from Susan. She said have you checked out Frenchies blog? For those who don't know who Frenchie is, she is Frenchie Martin ( http://www.frenchiestamps.com/ ) Frenchie had posted Inchies. http://www.frenchiestamps.com/2014/04/inchie-frame-with-frenchie-team-and.html. As she posted "inchies" are typically 1-2 1/2 inches big. I prefer them to be a little bit bigger. Mine are 3 inches square. My team and I (ok there was 3 of us) met up at Christmas time and we did an Inchie swap, requirements were they must be 3x3, and had to be in the blue color scheme. I think I posted the end result here I think they turned our really nice.

Stampin' Up! Everyday Occasions card kit

This kit was introduced earlier this year. This kit contains everything you need to make 20 all occasion cards. I made up some of these this past Saturday while I was at a trade show.

Here is one of the cards that I made while I was at the trade show. I did find I required some other adhesive besides the dimensionals it comes with. This kit is priced at $36.95 I have a few of these on hand and we are allowed to sell these as Cash/Carry items. Please contact me if you are interested in one of these kits.

Thanks for lookin and have a Stampin' Day!

Borderline Buddies

Happy Wednesday!! You all know what day it is. Its Borderline Buddies Day!! This week will be our last for a few weeks as Miss Susan had some MAJOR surgery done on Monday. In the interm, I will be posting past My Paper Pumpkin kit samples. I thought it would be easier for Susan to work on something that was sent to us, already prepackaged and just waiting for us to open it.

Your My Paper Pumpkin comes delivered between the 15th and 17th of each month, it is a monthly subscription. Here in CANADA your price is $24.95, and as you can see the kit includes everything in the box you do not need anything else to finish the cards. Ok I lied, you will need a Stampin' Scrub to clean your stamps after using them. If you would like to subscribe to MPP you can go to my personal link:

This months kit (March 2014) has enough supplies to create 8 cards, plus envelopes and gold foil liners for the envelopes! The Thank you and Congrats, are wood embellishments. Something a little different. I have to go back and finish up the other six cards that came in the box still.

Now go over to Susan's blog to check out what she created (though it should be very similar to what I have posted)  http://susan-stampinsue.blogspot.ca/

Thanks for lookin' and have a Stampin' day!

Welcome to Wednesday and BORDERLINE BUDDIES! Ok to todays challenge was given by Susan. She choose the Pop up Card. Which I thought was odd because that was our first challenge. I made one although she may have a disagreement with me on what a pop up card and an card in a box card are pretty much the same. I may have to go back and make another card here quickly for this challenge. Apparently what I thought it was and what I'm seeing today are totally DIFFERENT! Check out what Susan has posted click on this link: http://susan-stampinsue.blogspot.ca/

Anyways here is my replacement card should I have messed up.

Now I know this for sure is a Pop Up Type Card. I actually have never made this type of card before. It was fairly easy to make. I had some inspiration from Sandi MacIver at http://stampingwithsandi.com/tag/see-ya-later-stamp-set/ Sandi just posted on Facebook that she received her luggage tags to attend the GRAND VACATION that she earned from Stampin' Up!

Items used:

Stamp set: See ya Later, Petite Petals
Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Pool Party, Crisp Cantalope
Designer Series Paper: Sweet Sorbet
Ink: Pool Party, Black Stazon
Extras: Snail, Sticky strip, Petite Petals Punch, Crop-a-dial, Summer Starfruit ribbon, Candy Dots.

Thanks for lookin' and have a Stampin' day!
