Happy Friday! I have been seeing these cards popping up, and thought I would try it out. I used the tutorial on Frenchie Martin's website: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxZqhGqwkWo
She makes is so simple. I found with the Whisper white card stock it wasn't as hard to punch two pieces of paper together. When I work on a tutorial sample for the first time I tend to use supplies that are retired.

Items used:

Stamp set: You're Lovely
Cardstock: Whisper White, Island Indigo, Calypso Coral (retired), So Saffron
Designer Series Paper: Tea for Two (retired)
Ink: Island Indigo
Other: Boho Blossms punch, Scallop tag topper, Early Espresso Grosgrain ribbon (retired), 1/2 pearls, snail, glue dots.

Thanks for lookin' and have a Stampin' day!

Borderline Buddies Hey There

Hey everyone its that time of the week again and this week Susan challenged us to use a stamp from the very first Paper Pumpkin kit that we got for FREE at Leadership January 2013. Wow has it been just over a year since we first met Susan? I seriously cannot wait till the next time we can meet up. Ok so I did work the challenge I do apolgize as I had to rip my card apart and I'm hoping you cannot see the crease marks I created by doing that. Susan has her challenge project posted here  http://susan-stampinsue.blogspot.ca/

I had to put the card down flat to take the picture as it was overexposing when I would snap the pictue. I cased this idea from Mary Fish and you can go to her website to see it. http://stampinpretty.com/masculine_cards/page/2/ Mary Fish is one of the top 10 Stampin' Up! Demonstrators in the US (more like top 5).

I do have to say when Susan told me what the challenge was I was like "oh" you want to use that do you? I even think she felt that when we Facebook messaged me the challenge. I think this did turn out rather well. In hindsight I would have placed the washi tape more center than that it ended up to be.

If you are wanting to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin, Stampin' Up! has extended the FREE in-color marker deal. This deal won't be here for much longer (March 31 2014) If you would like to subscribe here is my link: https://mypaperpumpkin.com?demoid=2057093 I haven't opened up my February package yet, but I do know that they have changed up the stamps from rubber ones to Photopolymer.

Items used:

Stamp set: Hey There (MPP) kit January 2013
Cardstock: Whisper White
Ink: Gold
Extras: Gold Washi tape, Gold Bakers Twine, Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons, Snail and Dimensionals.

Thanks for lookin' and have a Stampin' day!

Stampin' Up! See ya later Birthday card

Here is the sample I made of the other 12 birthday cards I made this past week. This card uses the Chalkboard technique. It really is very simple way to stamp. All you require is: Black cardstock, white ink, stamp, and sponge. Now some heat emboss the stamped images and some just stamp it and sponge over (which is what I did)

Items Used:

Stamp set: See ya Later (Sale-a-bration) Gorgeous Grunge
Ink: Whisper White Craft ink
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Coastal Cabana, Pumpkin Pie, and Soft Suede
Designer Series Paper: Fresh Prints stack, Polka-dot Parade, 2013-15 Incolor DSP
Extras: Banner Punch (SAB), Rhinestones, Snail, Dimentionals, Sponge, Corner rounder punch (or the Envelope Punch Board).

Thanks for lookin' and have a Stampin' day!

Stampin' Up! Card in a box Borderline Buddies

This is my Wednesday Borderline Buddies challenge project for this week. I had talked to Susan (her link   http://susan-stampinsue.blogspot.ca/)my Stampin' Up! BFF last week if she had made any of these cuties. She said that yes she actually had and that they are SUPER EASY to make. She was so right about them being super easy to make. It almost looks like the flowers are trying to escape being in the box. Oh and the nice thing about this card is you can make your own envelope using our Envelope Punch Board.

I am a littled challenged with making stuff that is different from what I have done in the past, and a lot of the tutorials that I find online are VIDEO only with no paper instructions. I find I need more of a step by step instruction as the video's tend to go a little fast for me to keep up. Here are a couple of sites that have an instruction that you can print off:

The bottom link is the one that I used to create this card in a box.

Items used:

Stamp set: Really Good Greetings, Flower shop, Petite Flowers
Punches: Bird punch, punches that match both flower stamp sets
Ink: Wonder Wisteria, Crushed Curry, Costal Cabana, Black Stazon, Pear Pizzazz
Cardstock: Pear Pizzazz, Crushed Curry.
Designer Series Paper: Afternoon Picnic
Extras: Snail, Dimesionals, Chalk talk framelits

Thanks for lookin', and have a Stampin' day!

Borderling Buddies!!

This week Susan challenged me to make a 6x6 or 8x8 Recipe card. I will admit, the challenge challenged me a little bit. As you all know (well Susan's friends do not) I mainly do cards. A few 3D items but the majority of my posts are of cards.

Anyways here is my recipe card, I ended up going with the larger size due to the recipe when I printed it off from the internet. Ok now your all wondering have I even made these!! I did actually this past December (ok November) for the two cookie exchanges I joined. I needed something that was a)quick b) easy c) something that I can make ahead and either freeze or leave in the fridge. Reason being was last fall we were back and forth to Kelowna BC for fertility treatments, and both of the cookie exchanges were just days after we got back.

Just going to add a couple of notes about this recipe, I used the multicolored marshmellows. Second note is I also had a nut allergy in the one swap, so I used one of the nut free butters made with soy nuts. Tasted just about the same, mind you it did have a tad bit of crunch to it because of the soy nuts. Or maybe soy is a seed? I'm not sure, we can eat peanut butter here at our house.

I have one more item to mention, the heart die cuts were left over from two of my previous posts, however I used my brand spanking new toy to emboss them. I used our brand new Sizzix Textured Boutique. This item is available for $36.95, if you add in three embossing folders (any of your choice) you can choose one item from our Sale-a-bration catalog for FREE. The two embossing folders that I used today were Decorative Dots (one of the items from the Sale-a-bration catalog) and Stylish Stripes folder which was in the Holiday mini 2013 catalog and is on the carry over list.

Here is Susan's link: http://susan-stampinsue.blogspot.ca/ and go check out her sample which was posted earlier this morning.

Thanks for lookin' and have a Stampin' day!

Borderling Buddies Valentines day challenge

Ok so my bff Susan and I are challenging each other to create something and post it to our blogs, then link each others blog so you can see what the other has created. Here is her link:
http://susan-stampinsue.blogspot.com/

Now we did not set any rules about this challenge, other than we would each pick a theme every other week. This week I chose Valentines Day. (makes sense right with that holiday being on the 14th, this way it gives you a sample to make)

My sample was of course cased, I saw these cute little treat bags being used for so much more than a treat bag I had to get on that creating band wagon!! So there is a yummy chocolate in the front pocket and a cute card in the back pocket. These bags and stamp set are available as quantity  lasts.

Items used:
Stamp set: Love you More
Sweet Heart treat bags
Cardstock: Whisper White, Pool party
Ink: Real Red, Burmuda Bay
Extras: 1 inch circle punch, 1 and a quarter scallop circle punch, label bracket punch, snail, dimensionals (sorry I am using my laptop and the slash button wants to use the É instead)

Thanks for lookin and have a Stampin day!
